Product Description
The SplitFire Resistor Spark Plugs feature a patented żV' design on the side electrode. This is instrumental in helping to improve combustion efficiency. Since the flame kernel is not blocked by the side electrode like other spark plugs, it can travel upward through the żV' notch into the combustion chamber. They expose the gas / air mixture to a larger flame kernel for a more aggressive burn. The spark plug has a center electrode with a gasket seat and copper core that aids in cooling. The hex measures 5/8 and they have a precision-tooled metal shell to resist seizing in the cylinder head. Their smooth ceramic insulator eliminates spark flashover that can lead to ignition misfiring and potential damage to your engine. It ensures a tight seal at the plug boot.

These are the by far the best spark plugs ever made. This is my 3rd set I've bought. I have installed each set into 3 different vehicles. The first was a 1993 Dodge Dakota with 5.2L V8 at 13000 miles and gapped once. They were still going at 115,000 miles. The second vehicle, I installed in a 1999 Dodge Durango 5.2L at 85,000 and gapped once, still going at 136,000. The third is a 2006 Dodge Durango 4.7L V8 at 66,000 miles and all three vehicles saw about a 2 MPG increase in mileage and a noticeable increase in power. I just wish splifire still made these.
