I needed plugs anyway so I got the best NGK's. A bit pricey...but,, After installing these and going for the first ride of the year I noticed that the idle came up over 200 Rpm compared to what it was last year!! And that was with last year's fuel in it (aprox 4 months old!!) I adjusted the idle to normal and have ridden with these plugs and have to say that the engine seems smoother and that the fuel mileage is a bit better too!! That indicates to me that these plugs do indeed help with proper combustion. Amazing! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: NGK (2202) DPR8EIX-9 Iridium IX Spark Plug, Pack of 1 (Automotive) I have no problem with the plugs they are what was advertised and the price is good. I do have a problem in that they are shipped without the terminal cap that is needed in most applications. In my situation I am upgrading to the Iridium plugs and the plugs I am removing do not have the removable terminal caps. These caps don't even cost 10 cents. Why not include them with every order. They where included with the last set I bought for my boat. So now I need to chase around town looking for terminal caps. Kind of defeats the reasons foe ordering from Amazon. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Marky Mark "Mark" (North Haberbrook Farm Road, WA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: NGK (2202) DPR8EIX-9 Iridium IX Spark Plug, Pack of 1 (Automotive) Plugs are great, been using them for a while on my KLR 650. I ordered up a new one and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't fit into the electrical plug. Took me a while but then I remembered the review that complained about these plugs not coming with terminal caps. I had no idea what a terminal cap was but that bit of information prompted me to find out. It looks like these plugs now ship with terminal caps installed, and depending upon your use, you may need to remove them. They are little aluminum shrouds that screw onto the opposite end from the sparky part. A pair of pliers was able to assist me in unscrewing the cap and I was good to go. Thanks again Amazon! |
