Denso Double Platinum Spark Plug Double platinum plugs offer long life and are typically called for on a DIS ignition system or where the plugs are particularly difficult to change. A fine platinum tip on both the center and ground electrodes allows for virtually no gap erosion, so that you will have optimum performance, longer. Double platinum was originally designed for the abuse of a Distributorless Ignition Systems(DIS), however any car can benefit from there long life high performance features. Copper core for better thermal conductivity. Machine rolled threads to reduce cross-threading and seizing . The plug insulator is constructed of purified alumina powder for extreme stress with 5 ribs to prevent flashover. I'm probably stating the obvious, but changing your plugs more than once every few years is a wise decision. The economy and performance improvements are more than worth the effort. Please remember to apply some anti-cease lubricant before installing new plugs. These plugs are excellent.

Ok, maybe it's just me and I am an idiot, but I ordered these spark plugs based on the type I needed. I based the quantity on the picture I saw. I have a V8 so I ordered two of the four packs pictured. That would equal 8 right? Well, maybe I should have known how much they cost, but I am not a spark plug expert, all I know is I see four in the picture so I figure I am buying that box of four. Needless to say, I received two spark plugs almost the next day. I tried to order the other 6, now paying shipping twice, but the company only had 4 left so I had to order from another company, in for another $15.00 shipping so I learned a huge lesson, don't go based on the picture alone.
