Regular gap racing plug positions the spark approximately 1/16-inch into the combustion chamber. Colder heat ranges have a shortened ground electrode. This aids in exposing the spark to the air fuel mixture and helps avoid pre-ignition from an overheated ground electrode. Constructed with a nickel shell for faster heat dissipation and copper core or double copper (when noted) for further heat removal, all racing plugs are non resistor (unless specially noted).
