Product Description
Champions longest life plug, designed to replace original equipment double platinum plugs. The fine wire center electrode and tapered side electrode aid in focusing the spark for better performance while both the side and center electrodes are also platinum tipped for superior erosion resistance (longer life). A triple sealed interior and copper core reduce failure to heat and stress.

Used these to replace the OEM plugs on 2005 and 2007 Ford F-150's. If you've been paying attention, you know most of them need to be replaced, BEFORE they get too old (IE: "carboned" up). These are a much improved design over the OEM version. Seem to work great, so far, after about a year and 30,000+/- miles. Maybe slightly better gas mileage... A little expensive, but we think it was worth it to eliminate a VERY expensive and difficult future problem of broken off plugs.

I bought these for a 2006 Mustang GT to combat the well know "spark plug breaks off in head" issue. When I tried to remove the factory plugs (about two years ago) I broke several of them and had quite the panic filled day getting them out. I decided to replace them with these when I removed the factory-style plugs recently to reapply anti-seize. My car runs just fine with these and hopefully I won't have to worry about breaking them ever again. I put a bit of anti-seize on for good measure.
As for getting the OEM plugs out, get some Kroil or PB Blaster and add lots of patience and they should come out relatively trouble-free. When I removed the factory-style plugs (which I had put anti-seize on) to put these in, they came out extremely easily with some Kroil.

The product itself is fine. I purchased eight spark plugs, when I opened the shipping box I noticed they had come out of the packaging and bounced all over the place in the box, there was no packing paper, bubble-wrap or peanuts. Three out of the eight plugs had completely closed the gap on the electrodes, they were beat up pretty good. I set the gap, and went ahead and installed them. They are working. I would be a little apprehensive about purchasing anything else if this is the common practice for packaging and shipping.
